Virginia state safety inspection & emissions

Franconia Service Center is authorized to perform safety inspections for Alexandria and the surrounding areas. Our certified inspectors know Virginia’s requirements inside and out, with an attention to detail that leaves you with peace of mind and a car that is road-ready.

What gets checked

A Virginia safety inspection reviews the essential safety systems on your vehicle:

• Brakes and brake lines
• Tires, steering and suspension
• Headlights, signals and all exterior lights
• Horn, mirrors and windshield wipers
• Seat belts and other safety equipment

Emissions too

We handle Virginia emissions testing as well. Whether your vehicle needs an emissions test depends on its type, age and location, and we will let you know what applies to you. We can inspect your vehicle year after year and help keep it road-ready in between.
